Try holding your polarized sunglasses in front of your face and look through one of the lenses. Rotate it and you will notice the differences in the tones and contrast of your surroundings. This is what you can achieve with a polarizing filter.

5. Get up close.
Get in close when taking photos. Head and shoulder shots usually capture your subject more completely than a shot that includes the entire body. If not, use the zoom on your camera. The optical zoom will result a better shot.
